Here’s a look at the sermon series image creation process and the most joyful and lighthearted series I had the pleasure of working on.

Redeemed

For the 2022 Lent series (the 40 days leading up to Easter Sunday) First Pres decided to display Scott Erickson’s Stations In The Street - Printable Art Show. Inspired by his bold style of modern icons, I illustrated these images for the Lent series Redeemed and the holy days of Lent.

The Beautiful Story

This series took a 30,000-foot look at the story the Bible teaches of creation, fall, redemption, and glorification—quite the beautiful story! I had fun sneaking various biblical allusions into this planetary bouquet.

First Pres Sermon Series Images

At First Pres, Sunday worship revolves around the theme chosen for the pastors to preach on, in other words, the sermon series. First Pres goes through eight sermon series a year. The hero image for the sermon series must stir the audience’s curiosity and reinforce the pastor’s message. I’ve designed 35 sermon series images to date; here are a few that I’m particularly proud of.
